Charlie Freriechs has been operating the business since the early 80’s where they started out as a small owner builder operation, and now employ over 200 contractors and staff. With Charlie’s designs creating an edge in individual home designs winning him widespread client and industry recognition throughout the Gold and Tweed Coasts.

Charlie has more than 40 years experience in the Building and Construction Industry, comprising both the Residential and Commercial Industry. Suncoast Homes builds projects to the highest standards and is a capable team with a reputation for good design, quality, commitment and service.

In the early 80’s, Suncoast Homes was formed when it became obvious that the market needed a completely professional, elite and comprehensive "one-stop" service with each job being controlled from start to finish. The aim was to provide a service where one could have a home individually designed, custom built and finished by one professional at the forefront of the building industry.

The company is extremely proud to be a third generation family business starting with Charlie’s father and now Charlie is lucky to be joined by his daughter, Eladie. Eladie has a university degree in Property Economics and is a qualified carpenter. She shows great knowledge and commitment when it comes to running a project from start to finish. Her expertise has gained her the highest respect among her colleages.

Whilst doing her apprenticeship and working onsite she also became constructively involved in numerous managerial tasks including contract administration, acquisitions manager, Sales and Leasing marketing co-ordinator, all council or private certifier lodgements, development and construction approvals, trade and building quotations, contract preparation and numerous other duties.

As there are no standard plans, every home is custom designed working in the client's brief and budget to create an exclusive, practical and liveable home conplementary of its surroundings and thus producing a well-balanced, properly planned integrated unit. Sloping blocks are generally considered a builder's nightmare, yet for the “Suncoast Team”, these difficult sites are more of a challenge.

From the ground up, every Suncoast Home is thoroughly and individually prepared. The home is then constructed by expert craftsmen, with strict accord to the stringent safety and strength specification. The resulting home maximises use of the site and offers superb features of easy living, Coast style.
